A Journey to the Center of the Internet

To the DS106 community I bring you this message about the coming journey I will be taking with my good colleague and friend, Dr. Oliver Lindenbrook. He has exciting news to share with us about a great discovery he’s made in the DS106 website. Next week he expects a breakthrough in his work which should lead to a tremendous adventure for everyone in DS106.

I plan to travel with my 40 students into DS106 starting next Monday and will await Dr. Oliver’s first live broadcast later in the week. From there I imagine there will be a lot for everyone to prepare for as we, “Journey to the Center of the Internet.”

  1. It’s on like Donkey Kong, I am going to post about the details for signing up and it is time to drum up the open, internet crew. We have a journey to take, and it is going to be long, perilous, and insane in the ds106 membrane.

  4. Zoundsss! I look forward to having more than 5 weeks to complete this new journey! I salute you good Professor. Going to the center of the internet certainly sounds more appealing than attempting to reach the end of the internet. My seat belt is buckled. Let the journey begin.

  6. @Cheryl thanks for playing along. It’s going to be an interesting #ds106 semester with my students. It’s a big change for them and this course, and I hope we see them embrace the community. Let me/ds106 know if there’s anyway you’d like to have your students join in? Cross-campus project? Ds106radio love-fest?

  7. My class was cancelled. It was just under the number needed to make, *and* I accepted a full-time graphic designer position within our community college district. Since that’s now my primary job, any adjunct work I do has to be paid at a “blended overtime” rate, which no one is willing to do. So since my class had not started yet, it was easier to just cancel it.

I may email the people who signed up and tell them about your MOOC. :)
